QualConsul QS cc (QCQS) stands for Quality Consulting Quantity Surveyors, Chartered Quantity Surveyors.
Established at the beginning of 2009, QCQC’s goal is to achieve consistent client satisfaction on construction projects by integrating the fundamental principles of construction project management with leading-edge cost management techniques backed up by on-going research in the built environment.
The practice is committed to using high levels of competency and the latest and best quality management and professional consulting techniques to achieve clients’ project and business goals.
The mission of QCQS is to meet clients’ anticipated financial and built environment asset objectives with positive post-project delivery experiences. The practice achieves this mission by applying the core values of excellence, integrity, honesty, the highest standard and ethics of professionalism, and by deploying appropriate competencies in the delivery of its services and in its interaction with all stakeholders in its field of service.
The practice recognises the need for effective management of resources and achieves this within an environment which is intellectually stimulating for its staff and associates and which is sensitive to the environmental, community, national and international needs.
QCQS is a Value Adding Level 1 BBBEE contributor. The practice specialises in the full range of quantity surveying and research-led management consulting services in the built environment.
The competence invested in the practice includes comprehensive commercial view of construction projects spanning local and global business environments. The practice places major emphasis on economic sensitivity analysis and interpretation, innovative problem solving in project assessment and design evaluation, and delivery in the fast track project environment of the 21st century.

Professor Nkado provided management consulting and training to emerging contractors and staff of established contractors under the auspices of the Building Industries Federation of South Africa (BIFSA) during 1995 to 1997. He has conducted funded research into the competencies required of quantity surveyors and the management practices of small-scale construction enterprises in South Africa. He has supervised numerous undergraduate, masters and doctoral research studies and has published in, and referees for, internationally accredited built environment journals.
Professor Nkado is a registered quantity surveyor (PrQS), a registered construction project manager (Pr.CPM), a chartered construction manager with the Chartered Institute of Builders (MCIOB), a chartered quantity surveyor (MRICS) with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, UK and a project management professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute of the USA.
